PM spokesman declines to comment on Transneft CEO dismissal

MOSCOW, May 14 (PRIME) -- Spokesman for the prime minister Oleg Osipov said on Tuesday that the Russian government will not comment on possible dismissal of CEO of oil pipeline monopoly Transneft Nikolai Tokarev.

“We do not comment on that,” Osipov said.

Media reported that Tokarev may be fired after problems with the quality of oil coming from Russia to Europe across Belarus via the Druzhba pipeline. The issues started in mid-April. As oil contaminated with chlorides moved through the pipes, Poland stopped receiving the black gold from Druzhba on April 24, and Ukraine on April 25. Good-quality oil started coming from Russia to Belarus on May 2.
